چکیده
Background: Recent descriptions of two new species genus Cutibacterium resulted in a further expansion the taxonomical tree genus, which include acnes. One species, modestum, was coined 2020 by presenter as fifth Cutibacterium, had been tentatively named “Propionibacterium humerusii”. Another porci, firstly isolated from porcine faeces Wylensek et al. 2020, being first possibly only non-human member genus. Following these findings, researchers need map status quo Methods: To describe comprehensive view and subspecies to verify their positions, we applied three several tools, are silico DNA-DNA hybridization, average nucleotide identity, MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Results: Our genome-based approaches (in hybridization identity) enabled subspecies, verified individual species/subspecies pairwise similarity values (species cutoff: 70% 95% identity; 79% 99%, respectively). Furthermore, proteomic approach (MALDI-TOF spectrometry) showed effective differentiation using 3,000-15,000 m/z range spectral patterns this latest identifying tool. Discussion: Dermatological see names coming years. presenting information will help them understand background get more familiarized names.

Constrictive pericarditis caused by Cutibacterium (Propionibacterium) acnes: A case report and review of literature
Constrictive and effusive-constrictive pericarditis are rare cardiac disorders. Only rarely are the conditions caused by purulent infection, and even more infrequently by anaerobe bacteria. We describe a case of constrictive - and effusive-constrictive pericarditis due to Cutibacterium (formerly Propionibacterium) acnes in a 75-year old, immunocompetent and previously healthy patient without an...

Cutibacterium (Propionibacterium) acnes, considered a part of the skin microbiota, is one of the most commonly isolated anaerobic bacteria from medical implants in contact with plasma. However, the precise interaction of C. acnes with blood cells and plasma proteins has not been fully elucidated. Herein, we have investigated the molecular interaction of C. acnes with platelets and plasma protei...
متن کاملPrevalence of Flp Pili-Encoding Plasmids in Cutibacterium acnes Isolates Obtained from Prostatic Tissue
Inflammation is one of the hallmarks of prostate cancer. The origin of inflammation is unknown, but microbial infections are suspected to play a role. In previous studies, the Gram-positive, low virulent bacterium Cutibacterium (formerly Propionibacterium) acnes was frequently isolated from prostatic tissue. It is unclear if the presence of the bacterium represents a true infection or a contami...
متن کاملBacteremia caused by a recently described novel Desulfovibrio species.
An obligately anaerobic, fastidious, slowly growing, spiral, gram-negative bacterium was isolated from the blood of a 75-year-old man with acute onset of pyrexia. The patient responded rapidly to appropriate antibiotic therapy. Extensive investigation failed to detect a focus for the infection. Phenotypically, the organism was consistent with Desulfovibrio species. Microscopic investigation rev...
متن کاملInteraction of Cutibacterium ( formerly Propionibacterium) acnes with bone cells: a step toward understanding bone and joint infection development
Cutibacterium acnes (formerly Propionibacterium acnes) is recognized as a pathogen in foreign-body infections (arthroplasty or spinal instrumentation). To date, the direct impact of C. acnes on bone cells has never been explored. The clade of 11 C. acnes clinical isolates was determined by MLST. Human osteoblasts and osteoclasts were infected by live C. acnes. The whole genome sequence of six i...
